Procedure and method of pipe string assembly

Procedure of pipe string assembly:

1.clear construction design content

(1) Master the structure of downhole pipe string, name, specification, use of downhole tools, sequence and interval requirements.

(2) Master the production interval, interlayer thickness and sand production water.

(3) Master the casing inner diameter, hole diameter reduction, casing collar location, casing damage, oil spacing, perforated well interval and artificial bottom hole.

(4) Calculate the required length of tubing between drilling tools.

2.Clean, inspect and measure tubing and other downhole tools

(1) Steam clean the tubing.

(2) Check whether the tubing thread is intact.

(3) Check that the well tool, size and connection thread are reasonable and without damage, and meet the requirements of use.

(4) Check whether the pipe body has cracks, holes, bending and corrosion.

(5) Use a standard inner diameter gauge to pass the tubing.

(6) Put the unqualified tubing in isolation and make a mark.

(7) The tubing is arranged neatly on the pipe bridge, the collar is facing the direction of the wellhead, and then measured with a steel tape measure, and recorded on the tubing record, the tubing placement order and the recording order should correspond one by one.

(8) The steel tape used should be qualified after testing, and its effective length is 15m (or 25m). When measuring, straighten the steel tape to prevent curvature or distortion of the steel tape.

(9) When measuring tubing, there shall be no less than 3 people, and the cumulative error of the pipe string measured for 3 times shall not be greater than 0.02%.

(10) Measure the length of the well tool and tubing sub with a steel tape measure and record it on the tubing record.

(11) Verify or measure the length of oil filler, sleeve filler, tubing hanger, etc.

3. Specific requirements for pipe string assembly

(1) Calculate the length of tubing required by theory, measure and select tubing, and connect downhole tools.

(2) The pipe string will be placed according to the running order and the actual depth will be calculated. The running sequence, placement sequence and tubing records should correspond one by one.

Method of pipe string assembly

1. the right collocation method

The correct matching method is based on the sequence of tools and pipe strings running in the well, which is commonly used in the field. Its advantage is that it matches one row to the next, and it is convenient to select, arrange and record, which is suitable for the case of more pipe strings and tools.

2.inverse collocation method

The reverse matching method is based on the sequence of tool and string extraction. It is rarely used and is suitable for Wells with only one row or string of pipe tools. The disadvantage is that it is not very convenient to record.
