Against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global energy landscape and accelerated industrial transformation, professional exhibitions have become core platforms for technical exchange, business matchmaking, and trend analysis in the oil and gas industry. The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition (ADIPEC), the OTC Houston International Oil & Gas Exhibition (OTC Houston), the NEFTEGAZ International Oil & Gas Exhibition (NEFTEGAZ), and the China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology & Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE), as benchmark exhibitions in their respective regions, leverage their unique positioning and advantages to collectively build a global exchange network for the oil and gas industry.
1.ADIPEC: A Global Energy Industry Trendsetter
As one of the world’s largest and most authoritative oil and gas exhibitions, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition (ADIPEC) attracts global attention from the energy industry every year. The 2025 exhibition, held from November 3rd to 6th in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with the core theme “Connecting Minds, Transforming Energy,” showcased the industry’s cutting-edge trends towards low-carbon and intelligent transformation.
This year’s exhibition reached a new record in scale, covering an exhibition area of 160,000 square meters and bringing together 2,200 exhibitors from around the world, including 54 international energy giants such as Saudi Aramco, BP, and TotalEnergies. Thirty national pavilions were present, and the number of professional visitors exceeded 184,000, covering more than 160 countries and regions, achieving comprehensive coverage of the global energy industry chain. The exhibition also hosted 10 high-level summits and 350 professional sub-forums, conducting in-depth discussions on key topics such as artificial intelligence exploration, carbon capture and storage (CCUS), and hydrogen storage and transportation, becoming an important window for the release of global energy policies and technological directions. It is worth noting that the China Pavilion won the “Largest Pavilion Award” for having the largest exhibition area, and the participation of more than 230 Chinese companies fully demonstrated the competitiveness of China’s supply chain in the global energy market.
2.OTC Houston: A Hub for Technological Innovation in the Marine Energy Sector
The OTC Houston International Oil & Gas Exhibition, a premier global event in the marine energy sector, has consistently focused on technological breakthroughs and industrial collaboration in offshore oil and gas development since its inception. The 2025 exhibition, held in Houston from May 8th to 11th, centered on deep-sea exploration and digital oilfield construction, attracting significant attention from the global marine energy industry.
This year’s exhibition featured 1,200 exhibitors from over 100 countries and regions, including international energy giants such as Chevron and ExxonMobil, showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as deep-sea drilling robots, intelligent equipment for shale gas development, and subsea production systems. Of the 66,400 professional visitors, over 70% came from North America and Latin America, fostering a precise regional business matchmaking environment. The exhibition also hosted 45 technical conferences and 450 live demonstrations, focusing on addressing industry pain points such as low-carbon development pathways for offshore oil and gas and efficient utilization of deep-sea oil and gas resources. This provided crucial support for technological iteration and market expansion in the marine energy industry, serving as a key springboard for companies entering the North American and Latin American marine energy markets.
3.NEFTEGAZ: A regional hub for the Eastern European and CIS markets
NEWTEGAZ, the largest and most influential professional exhibition in Russia and the Far East, serves as a vital bridge connecting Eastern Europe, the CIS countries, and the global energy market. The 2026 exhibition will be held from March 2nd to 5th at the Crocus International Exhibition Center in Moscow, showcasing its distinct regional characteristics and strategic value, leveraging Russia’s abundant energy resources and policy support.
The exhibition is dually certified by UFI (Union of International Fairs) and RUEF (Russian Federation of Exhibitions). The 2026 event is expected to attract 1,020 exhibitors from over 50 countries, covering an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, and drawing over 34,000 professional visitors. The exhibition will focus on core areas such as Arctic energy development equipment, cryogenic freezing equipment, pipeline construction technology, and low-carbon transformation solutions. Russian giants such as Lukoil and Gazprom, along with international suppliers, will showcase their innovative achievements. More than 50 industry forums held concurrently will be attended by Russian energy ministers and other high-ranking officials, releasing key policy signals regarding Arctic development. Against the backdrop of supply chain restructuring and the facilitation of RMB settlement, Chinese companies have become an important force in the exhibition. At the 2025 exhibition, Chinese companies’ precision sliding bearing technology successfully entered the European energy equipment supply chain, demonstrating the core value of the platform as an arena for “Made in China” to expand into the Eurasian market.
4.CIPPE: The Global Gateway for Chinese Oil and Gas Equipment to Go Global
The China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE), a benchmark exhibition in the oil and gas equipment field in China and even Asia, has become a core platform for showcasing the innovative strength of China’s oil and gas industry and promoting international cooperation. The 25th exhibition, themed “Collaborative Innovation, Green Transformation,” opened on March 26, 2025, at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing, attracting nearly 2,000 companies from 75 countries and regions worldwide.
This year’s exhibition showcased over 10,000 innovative products, including approximately 300 debut products and technologies. Key features included the HEIE Hydrogen Energy Industry Exhibition, the “Marine Engineering” section, and the “Smart Pipeline and Trenchless Equipment Zone,” presenting cutting-edge achievements in hydrogen production and storage equipment, deep-sea exploration technology, intelligent drilling systems, and marine carbon capture equipment. To promote collaborative innovation across the industry chain, the exhibition also hosted over 100 events, including the Offshore Wind Power Equipment Industry Chain Development Forum and the International Oil and Gas Industry Conference, and established a procurement matchmaking zone, facilitating several large-scale cooperation agreements between Kazakhstani buyers and Chinese pipeline companies. As a crucial window for Chinese oil and gas equipment to “go global,” the exhibition attracted numerous international buyers, with 112 exhibitors renewing their booths for 2026, fully demonstrating its important position in global oil and gas equipment trade and technology exchange.
The four exhibitions, each with its core focus on global benchmarking, marine innovation, regional hubs, and domestic product export, cover different market dimensions and industry sectors, providing a diversified platform for exchange and cooperation for the global oil and gas industry, and reflecting the industry’s new development trend driven by green transformation and technological innovation.
