We ongoing manufacturing programme for drill string components, which also includes subs, stabilizers, and related bottom hole assembly (BHA) tools. All drill collars are produced from AISI 4145H or 4145H MOD alloy steel, quenched and tempered, and manufactured in accordance with API Spec 7-1 requirements.

The Role of the Drill Collar

A drill collar is the heavy-walled tubular component run directly above the drill bit. It provides the weight-on-bit (WOB) required to break rock, adds stiffness to the BHA to reduce buckling, and — when spaced correctly with stabilizers — helps control trajectory and improve hole quality. Because it sits at the point of highest stress, collar failure downhole typically leads to costly fishing operations and extended rig downtime.

Three Configurations to Match Well Conditions

1.Slick Drill Collars:​ Smooth outer diameter for general WOB application in vertical and mildly deviated wells.

2.Spiral Drill Collars:​ Machined grooves reduce contact area with the wellbore, lowering the risk of differential sticking in permeable formations.
